Fun fact: The proprietors, Derek and Debbie Perris, founders of Barnyard Coffee, moved their entire coffee roasting operation from Washington State to Minden after falling in love with our small town.  Brick Street Coffee was a former hardware store and Derek and Debbie did a MAJOR renovation and turned it into a dreamy coffee shop.  The masterpiece alone is worth stopping by to see.

Be sure to ask for our founder, Sara’s, favorite two drinks:  either a brown sugar chai latte or a spicy pineapple lotus.

Broken Bean Minden, located at 107 McDonald Street, Minden, is another excellent option for coffee lovers staying at The Villas at Spanish Court. This charming coffee shop is known for creating a relaxed and welcoming space. 

The Broken Bean is a ministry of Louisiana Adult and Teen Challenge.  As one of the most successful rehabilitation programs in the country, the girls working through the program work at the coffee shop to get workforce development skills.
